Volaverunt

It’s not fashion, it’s resistance dressed up as art.

It is born in that moment suspended in the air, between submission and rebellion. From the dialogue between two codes: historical fashion (with its corsets, crinolines and structures) and rock/punk culture (with its irreverent attitude and its cry against the norm). This collection takes the cages of the past and turns them into symbols of power.
Volaverunt does not look back with nostalgia, it uses history to build contemporary strength. What once oppressed now liberates.
Inspired by Francisco de Goya, specifically his engraving ‘Volaverunt’ and Bigas Luna’s excellent cinematic vision.
It is a tribute to the beginnings of women’s liberation and therefore a salute to all women fighters throughout history.
